Lijiang---Amazing place

Are you tired in busy life, are you want to escape from crowded cities? So, Lijiang is your right choice, is your next stop----amazing place you couldn't miss.

L ijiang, in the south part of China Yunnan Province , is the only Chinese city listed on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list. With a history of 1,300 years, it is generally referred to as the Old Town of Lijiang, home to the ancient Dongba culture and a major scenic area in China . With the country, there live more than 10 nationalities: Naxi, Bai, Tibetan, Miao , etc. Of them, the Naxi people account for about 66.7% of the entire population there.

With the Jade Dragon Mountain as backdrop, the old town has adapted itself harmoniously to the natural scenery. The architecture is especially noteworthy for the blending of elements from several cultures that have come together over many centuries. Lijiang maintains an ancient water-supply system of great complexity and ingenuity that is still functioning effectively. Walking along the ancient street in a sunny day , pure local people, colorful man-made handcrafts, listening the water flowing through each house…you will hope anything is frozen in this time and we also have the impulse to stay here for the rest life. People of here love the silver very much, so you can find the silver smith anywhere. Silver is white, the same color like snow dragon mountain, this is the reason why local people like it? Who knows? I purchase some silver pendents, pretty with good price. By the way, some of silver are not sterling silver, so please take care about it. Personally, I love the local clothes very much, like scarves, skirt and coats that are colorful man-made waving. It's cool to wear a leather jacket with the local waving scarf. I got a lot of back to Beijing as gifts to my friends, they love it very much. It's pity, I didn't leave any one for myself, because scarves were all robbed by friends.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is another famous scenic spot in Lijiang, which is situated north of Lijiang Old Town . The highest point in the mountain reaches a height of 5596 meters, and it is the nearest snow mountain to the equator. But as the global temperature changes warmer year by year, so there is little snow you can see on the top of the mountain. There are a lot of wild plants and rare animals in the mount, and it is always called as a silver dragon lying in the clouds.

In China , about half of plant species originated in Yunnan province, and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is home to about half of these, including trees, flowers, and medicinal herbs and plants. The mountain's many ravines, creeks, cliffs, and meadows all have Naxi names and provide settings for the myths and legends of the people who have made the plain their homeland for 1,000 years.

Still heavily forested, the mountain bursts into bloom every spring with camellias, rhododendrons, and azaleas. Herders take their cattle, goats, sheep, and yaks to graze on its slopes. In autumn, some of the pine trees turn amber yellow, while the deciduous trees transmute their green leaves into patches of bright yellow, orange, and scarlet. I remember the time I had been to the mountain was in September, what we weared are sweaters and jackets. But that is not enough on the mountain; it's nice we can find some padded garments for renting. To be frank, they are not clean enough. Doesn't matter, it does work! So if possible, I do suggest travellers prepare some warm clothes with you when you're gonna to the mountain in Lijiang. While, Lijiang is really a nice place! You have to see it to believe it!
