| Opinion of the State Council Concerning Accelerating the Development of the Service Sector issued in March 2007 indicated clearly that the service industry is an integral part of national economy and an important indicator for measuring the economic level of a modern society. China service sector is going to center a stage of rapid development. According to the survey, by the end of 2006, it is estimated that there were about 100 modern economy hotel brands(among them, at least 40 brands has opened 5 hotels or 500 rooms), and the opened hotels has been amounted to over 1,000 ， with a total room inventory of over 100,000 rooms. In this situation, emerging of new brands and new markets also left great opportunities for further markets segmentation and geographical networking of China economy hotel sector.
