The staff here are excellent - very friendly and helpful. The dumpling cooking class on Friday nights is a fun extra. The hostel is a beautiful old traditional courtyard building which is very clean and secure. Once the road works have finished (should be by the time you read this), it's an excellent place to stay. Thanks very much to Candy for all her help.

I have stayed in many hostels all around the world - Yamen Hostel is definitely one of the best. The staff is extraordinary and the ambiance magnificent. I can't wait to go back to Pingyao this summer and experience it again! Thank you so much, guys!
